Qualifications & Membership:

I graduated with an upper second class Psychology degree from Birmingham University in 1983.  I completed Manchester University’s 2 year MSc programme in clinical psychology in 1987, qualifying me to practice in the NHS.

I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS) and a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (C.Psychol.)

I am a member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and the Holistic Special Interest Group of the British Psychological Society.

I am a co-founder of an organisation for Manchester psychologists and psychotherapists in private practice (MP4).

Behaviour change, Behavioural Psychotherapy, Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy, British Medical Journal, British Journal of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology Review, International Review of Psychiatry and Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology.

I have co-authored four book chapters, the last of which was published by Wiley (1998), a text edited by Professors of Psychiatry, Carlo Perris and Patrick McGorry, entitled Cognitive Psychotherapy of Psychotic and Personality Disorders.
